1985 VOLVO Marathon Road patcher system for repairing potholes, 1985 Volvo, and 1987 Mack 180K and 90K miles respectively on the trucks, tires ranging from 20 - 40%...Both truck are equipped with the Marathon Road patcher system for repairing potholes. The stone is carried in a 5 yard open stone hopper, and fed to a pneumatic pipe where it is blown through the feed arm...this is the most reliable system according to the owner who has used many versions of this type of pot hole patching system, unlike the ones where the stone is blown from a pressurized vessel at the back of the truckm(ie Rosco CM 300)... - The emulsified oil is blown into the system at the spray head, and can run simultaneously with the stone or independantly of the stone. Air, stone, oil or any combination can be blwon through the system to alternately clean the hole, tack the hole, fill the hole with a mixture of oil and stone, and finally cover the patch with dry stone..all controlled from the cab of the truck. The telescoping boom can reach 15' from the center pivot point of the front of the truck, so multiple patches can be done from one set up. Compaction is achieved by driving the truck tires over the patched area. These patching systems are great labor savors..as all the work can be performed from the cab of the truck by a single operator (in most applications). Both these trucks are both work ready and functional, but have slight hydraulic leaks, and minor body/paint imperfections as can be expected with this vintage of equipment...The Volvo is a standard shift, and the Mack is an automatic. The pics shown are of the older 1985 Volvo truck...pics of the Mack can be made available, although both vehicles are generally the same in appearance. - Location Stroudsburg Pa. Pricing is the same for either...PRICE $19,500 Each. Stock # A588, Call Mrk Hockaday Henry Mfg. Co. .
